Our solar panels are industrial grade panels and commonly used in large domestic and industrial projects. We have selected a small number of panels of sizes that work well within parameters of most of the common MPPT solar charge controllers, which helps you maximise the potential of your panels. If you can’t find what you are looking for please send us an email and I’m sure that we will be able to supply a panel to fit your requirements.Â
Off-grid and Grid-tie, what’s the difference?
Off-grid – Don’t let the name confuse you as off-grid systems can and are often installed where the property does have grid power available, in these situations the grid power is only used to support and back-up the panels and batteries. When off-grid inverters are used it’s essential that the grid power is completely disconnected from the property and feeds through the inverter only, hence the name “off-grid”
Grid-tie – Grid-tie system inverters are designed to support your grid power supply whilst your grid power remains connected to the property. Grid-tie inverters often only assist the grid power through the daytime whilst the solar panels are active, however we do have a grid-tie inverter/MPPT all-in-one unit that will also charge batteries, meaning that your power harnessed from the sun can be used through the night.
There is an abundance of products available which in recent years have dropped in price. When we add this to the soaring energy prices, there has never been a better time to support your power requirements using solar energy.
Unfortunately solar power is not something that is possible for everybody. The main deciding factor is whether you have the ability to mount the desired amount of PV panels with these panels facing in the right direction.
